Hydronic System Design Contractor Training School

Wallace Eannace Associates, Inc.        Contractor Training Program

H401 Hydronic System Design

      ♦ Flows/Temperature Drops
Determining flow requirements, the importance of good heat loss calculations,
how BTU’s are determined and how to deliver them.

     ♦ Piping
Friction in piping, piping choices, the effects of fittings and valves on developed
lengths, what Cv means and how to use it, estimating pressure drops in systems
        and velocity limitations.

     ♦ System Curves
What they represent, how to calculate and graph them, interpreting system
         performance vs. the pump curve.

     ♦ Pump Curves
What they are, how to read them, proper pump selection, impeller sizing, horse
        power limitations and efficiency maximization.

♦ Using the B&G System Syzer Slide Ruler Wheel ( included)
Understanding the scales, plotting a system curve, using the online version.
Its use for pipe sizing. friction loss, velocity, also system curve estimation.
